1. The short version
Golf Passport does not require an account. Your stamps, planned courses, custom golf routes, profile, bookmarks, and preferences are stored on your iPhone. Golf Passport does not operate a server that uploads your passport collection.
2. Information stored on your iPhone
The app stores information you choose to add, including memory stamps, courses you want to play, custom golf routes, your chosen profile details, bookmarks, preferences, and notification settings. It remains on your device unless you export a backup or share content using the iPhone share sheet.
3. Location
Golf Passport requests precise location only when a location-based feature needs it, such as centring the world map or ranking nearby suggestions. The app does not save your precise location in your passport or send it to a Golf Passport server. Adding a memory stamp does not require location.
4. Product analytics
Firebase Analytics is enabled to collect app-lifecycle and product-interaction events, session statistics, device and app information, approximate location derived from the device’s IP address, and purchase and subscription events such as product identifiers and prices. Google discards the raw IP address before Analytics logs the derived approximate location. Analytics associates these events with a randomly generated app-instance identifier, which allows activity from the same app installation to be connected over time. This is pseudonymous information that can be associated with your app installation.
We use this information to understand feature use and improve the app. Golf Passport disables IDFV collection and advertising-personalization signals and does not include IDFA or request App Tracking Transparency permission. Custom events contain only fixed feature names such as the selected tab; they do not contain profile details, course-search text, stamps, golf routes, trips, precise location, or other user-entered content.
5. Passport+ purchases
Apple handles purchases and renewals. Golf Passport uses RevenueCat to process purchase history and receipts for purchase validation, fraud prevention, restoring purchases, unlocking Passport+ features, and subscription analytics. RevenueCat uses an automatically generated anonymous app-user identifier; Golf Passport does not send RevenueCat your profile name, email address, phone number, advertising identifier, or a custom account ID. Firebase Analytics also records purchase and subscription events associated with its app-instance identifier. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
6. Apple Maps and system services
The world map and course maps use Apple Maps. Notifications, sharing, file export, and purchases use Apple system services governed by Apple’s policies and your device settings.
7. Backups and sharing
Backups are created only when you choose to export one. You decide where the file is stored or sent. Shared passport, golf route, course, and support content is sent only through the destination you choose in the iPhone share sheet.
8. Deleting your data
Use the reset controls in Golf Passport to clear local passport and profile data. Deleting the app also removes its local data from the iPhone. This does not cancel an active Apple subscription.
9. Children
Golf Passport is a general-audience golf app and is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account or a real name.
10. This support website
Netlify hosts these support pages and may process technical connection information to deliver and secure the website. We do not add analytics or advertising cookies to these pages. See Netlify’s privacy statement.
